Why the MDT is the piece that matters

Police roleplay works or fails on paperwork. Without a records system, every arrest is a conversation that vanishes when the officer logs off, and the same player gets a first-offence warning for the fifth time. An MDT is what gives a department memory: names, charges, vehicle lookups, reports that the next shift can read.

That makes it a shared decision rather than an individual one. Every officer on your server ends up using it, so pick one and standardise, and expect to spend an evening seeding charge codes and permissions before it goes live.

What to check before installing

Two things decide whether an MDT survives contact with your server: whether it reads the identity system you already use, so a lookup returns the same name the player sees on their ID, and whether it scopes access by rank rather than by job, so a cadet is not editing records.

The Redutzu MDT is $20 and carries QBCore, ESX and Qbox badges. For the wider police toolkit, see the jobs collection, and there is a free MDT on the free scripts shelf if you want to compare.

Frequently asked questions

Will the MDT read my existing character records?

It works from your framework's player data. What varies is how it matches identity, so check it against your ID or licence system before you commit a department to it.

Is there a free alternative on this store?

Yes, a free police MDT is on the free scripts shelf. It is worth installing first purely to work out what your department actually needs from one.
